UK unions want to tax the rich

British trade unions have called for tax cuts for lower-income workers, and tax hikes for the rich.
The head of the Trades Union Congress, speaking at the Labour Federation's annual meeting said the government should be ensuring that it remains on the side of “ordinary people.”
The TUC, which includes Britain's biggest unions , wants income tax cuts for low and average earners, and a new minimum tax rate for those earning over 100,000 pounds a year.
